Illinois High School Basketball - Sherrard nips Monmouth-Roseville

In Friday's league contest, the host Sherrard Tigers basketball team scored a close 51-48 triumph over the Monmouth-Roseville Titans.
The Tigers (25-3) will now prepare for their contest against Mercer County (Aledo, IL). The Golden Eagles go into the Three Rivers - West contest with a 12-16 record. In their last contest, Mercer County was tipped by Riverdale (Port Byron, IL), 59-33, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Titans battle the Illini West Chargers (Carthage, IL) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, February 15. Monmouth-Roseville will attempt to better on its 11-16 season record. The Chargers go into the contest with a 19-8 record after their 42-23 non-league win over Camp Point Central (Camp Point, IL).
