Frederick Douglass Broncos (Lexington, KY) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Paul Laurence Dunbar Bulldogs (Lexington, KY), 70-36 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Frederick Douglass upgrades its record to 19-8 on the campaign. The Broncos host Scott County (Georgetown, KY) to play the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 21. The Cardinals come into the bout with a record of 7-17. Scott County lost 63-34 in their recent non-league bout against Madison Southern (Berea, KY)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Henry Clay Blue Devils (Lexington, KY) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 17. Paul Laurence Dunbar will attempt to upgrade on its 1-21 season record. The Blue Devils come into the bout with a 12-10 record after their 53-40 non-league win over Berea (Berea, KY).
