Shepaug Valley Spartans (Washington, CT) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Housatonic-Wamogo Mountaineers (Falls Village, CT), 80-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Shepaug Valley upgrades its record to 15-6 on the season. The Spartans travel to Litchfield (Litchfield, CT) to clash with the Cowboys in a Berkshire bout on Wednesday, February 21. The Cowboys go into the bout with a record of 9-12. Litchfield lost 80-74 in their recent league bout against Northwestern Regional (Winsted, CT)

Next up, the Mountaineers clash with the Thomaston Bears (Thomaston, CT) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 21. Housatonic-Wamogo will attempt to upgrade on its 2-16 season record. The Bears go into the bout with a 11-8 record after their 74-60 non-league loss to St. Paul Catholic (Bristol, CT).
