Michigan High School Basketball - South Christian can't hold off Wayland

The Wayland Wildcats basketball team scored 46 points and held the visiting South Christian Sailors to 39 in the Wildcats league triumph on Friday.
The Wildcats now sport a 17-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ottawa Hills for a Ottawa-Kent - Gold contest on Tuesday, February 21. Wayland will battle a Bengals team coming off a 59-30 league loss to Catholic Central (Grand Rapids, MI). The Bengals record now stands at 5-12.
The Sailors (14-6) will now prepare for their contest against Catholic Central (Grand Rapids, MI). The Cougars enter the Ottawa-Kent - Blue contest with a 9-10 record. In their last contest, Catholic Central nudged Ottawa Hills (Grand Rapids, MI), 59-30, in a league contest.
