Doherty Spartans (Colorado Springs, CO) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Liberty Lancers (Colorado Springs, CO), 48-25 in a league bout.

With the win, Doherty upgrades its record to 9-1 on the season. The Spartans host Valor Christian (Highlands Ranch, CO) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Monday, February 6. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 2-1.

Next up, the Lancers play the Pine Creek Eagles (Colorado Springs, CO) in a bout, on Wednesday, February 8. Liberty will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 11-1 record after their 45-37 league win over Fountain-Fort Carson (Fountain, CO).
