Minden Whippets (Minden, NE) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Cozad Haymakers (Cozad, NE), 53-24 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Minden upgrades its record to 15-2 on the season. The Whippets travel to Gothenburg (Gothenburg, NE) to play the Swedes in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 3. The Swedes go into the bout with a record of 14-4. Gothenburg won 47-13 in their recent non-league bout against Valentine (Valentine, NE)

Next up, the Haymakers play the Centura Centurions (Cairo, NE) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 5. Cozad will attempt to upgrade on its 5-14 season record. The Centurions go into the challenge with a 14-6 record after their 32-18 non-league win over Ravenna (Ravenna, NE).
