Buckland Sissauni (Buckland, AK) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host McQueen Qavviks (Kivalina, AK), 58-29 in a league match.
With the victory, Buckland upgrades its record to 9-9 on the year.
The Qavviks now sport a 1-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Napaaqtugmiut for a 1A Northwest Arctic match on Friday, February 21. McQueen will face a Lynx squad coming off a 63-19 league win over McQueen (Kivalina, AK). The Lynx record now stands at 10-2.
