Effingham County Rebels (Springfield, GA) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Brantley County Herons (Nahunta, GA), 9-0 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Effingham County moves its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Rebels host Evans (Evans, GA) to clash with the Knights in a 6A Area 2 test on Friday, February 28. The Knights come into the test with a record of 2-0.

The Herons now sport a 0-4 record. They take the field next when they host Treutlen for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 25. Brantley County will clash with a Vikings team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Hawkinsville (Hawkinsville, GA). The Vikings record now stands at 0-4.
