Church Point Bears (Church Point, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Hackberry Mustangs (Hackberry, LA), 14-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Bears now own a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they host Notre Dame for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, February 28. Church Point will battle a Pioneers squad coming off a 16-5 non-league win over Lafayette (Lafayette, LA). The Pioneers record now stands at 6-2.

With the loss, Hackberry falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Washington-Marion (Lake Charles, LA) to battle the Charging Indians in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 29. The Charging Indians enter the challenge with a record of 1-5.
