West Sabine Tigers (Pineland, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Chireno Owls (Chireno, TX), 31-30 in a league bout.

With the victory, West Sabine upgrades its record to 5-17 on the campaign. The Tigers host Corrigan-Camden (Corrigan, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 2A Region III District 24 bout on Friday, February 10. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 23-3.

Next up, the Owls play the Corrigan-Camden Bulldogs (Corrigan, TX) in a 2A Region III District 24 bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Chireno will attempt to upgrade on its 9-10 season record.
