Palmview Lobos (La Joya, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Roma Gladiators (Roma, TX), 81-55 in a league bout.

With the win, Palmview upgrades its record to 25-9 on the season. The Lobos host Cigarroa (Laredo, TX) to play the Toros in a 5A Region IV District 30 bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Toros go into the bout with a record of 5-22. Cigarroa lost 63-51 in their recent league bout against Rio Grande City (Rio Grande City, TX)

Next up, the Gladiators play the Rio Grande City Rattlers (Rio Grande City, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 30 bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Roma will attempt to upgrade on its 13-13 season record. The Rattlers go into the bout with a 18-15 record after their 63-51 league win over Cigarroa (Laredo, TX).
