North Carolina High School Basketball - South Charlotte nips Surry HomeSchool

February 3, 2025: Mount Airy, NC

The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the South Charlotte Thunder (Matthews, NC) and the host Surry HomeSchool Runnin' Patriots (Mount Airy, NC), witnessed South Charlotte's basketball squad hold off Surry HomeSchool by a count of 66-60.

With the victory, South Charlotte advances its record to 9-15 on the year. The Thunder host Legion Collegiate Academy (Rock Hill, SC) to meet the Lancers in a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 4. The Lancers enter the battle with a record of 5-22. Legion Collegiate Academy lost 56-38 in their recent non-league battle against Asheville School (Independent) (Asheville, NC)

The Runnin' Patriots now own a 9-20 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dayspring Christian Academy for a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 4. Surry HomeSchool will meet a Lions squad coming off a 36-30 league loss to Faith Christian (Roanoke, VA). The Lions record now stands at 6-9.
