In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Martins Ferry Purple Riders basketball team scored a big 62-41 win over the Harrison Central Huskies.
The Purple Riders (9-8) will now prepare for their contest against Monroe Central (Woodsfield, OH). The Seminoles come into the Ohio Valley AAA contest with a 16-2 record. In their last contest, Monroe Central smashed Shadyside (Shadyside, OH), 68-32, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Huskies battle the Buckeye Local Panthers (Rayland, OH) in a Buckeye 8 battle, on Friday, February 7. Harrison Central will attempt to advance on its 5-13 season record. The Panthers enter the battle with a 3-16 record after their 71-39 non-league win over Edison (Richmond, OH).
