The Shamokin Area Indians basketball team scored 50 points and held the host Southern Columbia Area Tigers to 9 in the Indians non-league triumph on Monday.

The Indians now sport a 17-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Warrior Run for a Heartland III contest on Wednesday, February 7. Shamokin Area will battle a Defenders team coming off a 38-27 league loss to Bloomsburg (Bloomsburg, PA). The Defenders record now stands at 9-9.

The Tigers (0-16) will now prepare for their contest against Shikellamy (Sunbury, PA). The Braves enter the non-league contest with a 14-6 record.
