The Canton South Wildcats (Canton, OH) basketball knocked off the visiting New Philadelphia Quakers (New Philadelphia, OH), 42-28 in Monday's non-league test.
The Wildcats (12-8) will now prepare for their test against Northwest (Canal Fulton, OH). The Indians go into the Principals test with a 18-2 record. In their last test, Northwest notched a victory over Firestone (Akron, OH), 72-27, in a non-league test.
The Quakers now own a 10-9 record. They play next when they host Tuscarawas Valley for a non-league test on Wednesday, February 8. New Philadelphia will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 59-53 non-league loss to Indian Creek (Wintersville, OH). The Trojans record now stands at 17-4.
