In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Grace M. James Academy of Excellence GEMS (Louisville, KY) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Atherton Ravens (Louisville, KY), by a margin of 49-10.
The GEMS (11-1) will now prepare for their outing against Southern (Louisville, KY). The Trojans go into the non-league outing with a 12-10 record. In their last outing, Southern was trounced by Washington County (Springfield, KY), 51-39, in a non-league outing.
The Ravens now own a 2-13 record. They play next when they host Seneca for a District 27 outing on Thursday, February 8. Atherton will clash with a Red Hawks squad coming off a 57-46 non-league win over Western (Louisville, KY). The Red Hawks record now stands at 12-10.
