Virginia High School Basketball - Nansemond River crushes Western Branch

February 6, 2024: Suffolk, VA 23434

Nansemond River Warriors (Suffolk, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Western Branch Bruins (Chesapeake, VA), 73-31 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Nansemond River upgrades its record to 15-0 on the season. The Warriors travel to King's Fork (Suffolk, VA) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 8. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 10-1. King's Fork won 66-37 in their recent non-league bout against Hickory (Chesapeake, VA)

Next up, the Bruins clash with the Great Bridge Wildcats (Chesapeake, VA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 9. Western Branch will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 0-14 record after their 64-14 non-league loss to Deep Creek (Chesapeake, VA).
