The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Mesa Vista Trojans (Ojo Caliente, NM) and the host Mora Rangers/Rangerettes (Mora, NM), observed Mesa Vista's basketball team knock off Mora by a score of 55-37.
The Trojans (18-3) will now prepare for their challenge against McCurdy (Espanola, NM). The Bobcats come into the 2A District 5 challenge with a 13-8 record. In their last challenge, McCurdy prevailed over Escalante (Tierra Amarilla, NM), 62-20, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Rangers/Rangerettes encounter the Penasco Panthers (Penasco, NM) in a 2A District 5 challenge, on Saturday, February 8. Mora will attempt to improve on its 11-10 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 7-12 record after their 57-39 league loss to Questa (Questa, NM).
