Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Orangeburg-Wilkinson Bruins (Orangeburg, SC) and the visiting Lower Richland Diamond Hornets (Hopkins, SC), saw Orangeburg-Wilkinson's basketball squad hold off Lower Richland by a count of 56-53.
With the victory, Orangeburg-Wilkinson upgrades its record to 18-6 on the campaign. The Bruins travel to Brookland-Cayce (Cayce, SC) to play the Bearcats in a AAA Region 5 challenge on Thursday, February 9. The Bearcats come into the challenge with a record of 10-12. Brookland-Cayce won 62-28 in their recent league challenge against Swansea (Swansea, SC)
Next up, the Diamond Hornets play the Dreher Blue Devils (Columbia, SC) in a AAA Region 5 challenge, on Thursday, February 9. Lower Richland will attempt to upgrade on its 8-9 season record.
