The Taylorville Tornadoes basketball team scored 66 points and restricted the visiting Mattoon Greenwave to 61 in the Tornadoes league victory on Tuesday.

The Tornadoes now sport a 4-25 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mahomet-Seymour for a Apollo contest on Friday, February 10. Taylorville will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 70-68 non-league win over Urbana (Urbana, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 11-14.

The Greenwave (7-20) will now prepare for their contest against Mt. Zion (Mt. Zion, IL). The Braves come into the Apollo contest with a 25-2 record. In their last contest, Mt. Zion edged Lincoln (Lincoln, IL), 45-34, in a league contest.
