In Tuesday's non-league game, the Mount Vernon Mustangs (Atlanta, GA) soccer squad tipped the host Westlake Lions (Atlanta, GA), by a final score of 2-1.
The Mustangs (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Atlanta International (Atlanta, GA). The Eagles enter the 1A D-I Area 6 challenge with a 4-0 record. In their last challenge, Atlanta International tipped Galloway (Atlanta, GA), 2-0, in a league challenge.
The Lions now possess a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Tri-Cities for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 14. Westlake will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 9-1 non-league win over Therrell (Atlanta, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-0.
