Great Mills Hornets (Great Mills, MD) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host Thomas Stone Cougars (Waldorf, MD), 63-47 in a league match.
With the victory, Great Mills advances its record to 12-4 on the year. The Hornets host Chopticon (Morganza, MD) to face the Braves in a Southern Maryland match on Wednesday, February 12. The Braves enter the match with a record of 9-10. Chopticon won 56-39 in their recent league match against Calvert (Prince Frederick, MD)
The Cougars now own a 4-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Charles for a Southern Maryland match on Monday, February 10. Thomas Stone will face a squad coming off a 73-35 league win over Patuxent (Lusby, MD). The record now stands at 10-6.
