The Benton Rangers nudged the visiting Cairo Pilots basketball team by a margin of 1-0 in Friday's non-league contest.
The Rangers (11-16) will now prepare for their contest against Fairfield (Fairfield, IL). The Mules go into the non-league contest with a 13-12 record. In their last contest, Fairfield was tipped by Hamilton County (McLeansboro, IL), 53-52, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Pilots confront the Cobden Appleknockers (Cobden, IL) in a non-league contest, on Monday, February 10. Cairo will attempt to better on its 3-16 season record. The Appleknockers go into the contest with a 6-15 record after their 38-24 non-league loss to Shawnee (Wolf Lake, IL).
