The Midland Chemics basketball team scored 56 points and limited the host Lapeer Lightning to 28 in the Chemics league triumph on Friday.

The Chemics now possess a 13-1 record. They play next when they host Powers Catholic for a Saginaw Valley game on Tuesday, February 11. Midland will play a Chargers team coming off a 66-42 league win over Bay City Western (Auburn, MI). The Chargers record now stands at 12-3.

With the loss, Lapeer falls to 2-9 on the campaign. The Lightning host Linden (Linden, MI) to play the Eagles in a non-league game on Monday, February 10. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 10-4. Linden won 49-39 in their recent league game against Fenton (Fenton, MI)
