The Valdez Buccaneers basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Redington Huskies to 14 in the Buccaneers non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Buccaneers now sport a 11-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Seward for a non-league contest on Friday, February 10. Valdez will battle a Seahawks team coming off a 50-18 non-league win over Cordova (Cordova, AK). The Seahawks record now stands at 13-3.
The Huskies (0-13) will now prepare for their contest against Nikiski (Nikiski, AK). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 6-12 record. In their last contest, Nikiski was routed by South Anchorage (Anchorage, AK), 48-40, in a non-league contest.
