The Beloved Community Charter Owls (Jersey City, NJ) basketball nipped the host Pioneer Academy Eagles (Wayne, NJ), 26-24 in Friday's non-league test.
The Owls (5-15) will now prepare for their test against University Academy Charter (Jersey City, NJ). The Generals go into the Hudson County - National test with a 1-17 record. In their last test, University Academy Charter was tipped by North Bergen (North Bergen, NJ), 41-13, in a non-league test.
The Eagles now own a 1-7 record. They play next when they travel to Palisades Park for a non-league test on Saturday, February 10. Pioneer Academy will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 33-30 league win over Hawthorne Christian (Hawthorne, NJ). The Tigers record now stands at 8-14.
