The First Baptist School Hurricanes (Charleston, SC) basketball nipped the host Porter-Gaud Cyclones (Charleston, SC), 42-39 in Friday's league test.
The Hurricanes (20-9) will now prepare for their test against Hilton Head Prep (Hilton Head Island, SC). The Dolphins go into the non-league test with a 9-13 record. In their last test, Hilton Head Prep was tipped by Cross (Bluffton, SC), 57-41, in a non-league test.
The Cyclones now own a 15-9 record. They play next when they travel to Cathedral Academy for a non-league test on Monday, February 12. Porter-Gaud will encounter a Generals squad coming off a 45-17 league win over St. John's Christian Academy (Moncks Corner, SC). The Generals record now stands at 18-6.
