The Torrance Tartars volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the visiting Laguna Blanca Owls to 0 in the Tartars non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Tartars now have a 5-8 record. They play next when they travel to Carson for a non-league outing on Monday, March 3. Torrance will play a Colts team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Marshall (Los Angeles, CA). The Colts record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Laguna Blanca drops to 2-1 on the campaign. The Owls travel to Dunn (Los Olivos, CA) to play the Earwigs in a Tri-Valley test on Tuesday, March 4. The Earwigs go into the test with a record of 0-1. Dunn lost 3-0 in their recent league test against Cate (Carpinteria, CA)
