Shelby County Wildcats (Columbiana, AL) supporters exited the stadium in high spirits Tuesday as they saw their baseball team beat the host Central Wildcats (Florence, AL), 9-5 in a non-league game.
The Wildcats (9-4) will now prepare for their match against Lincoln (Lincoln, AL). The Golden Bears come into the non-league match with a 4-5 record. In their last match, Lincoln tipped Cherokee County (Centre, AL), 7-0, in a non-league match.
The Wildcats now possess a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Brooks for a 4A Area 14 match on Friday, March 13. Central will battle a Lions squad coming off a 12-1 league win over Hatton (Town Creek, AL). The Lions record now stands at 7-3.
