Athens Academy Spartans (Athens, GA) backers exited the stadium pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Commerce Tigers (Commerce, GA), 7-0 in a league test.

With the triumph, Athens Academy advances its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Oglethorpe County (Lexington, GA) to clash with the Patriots in a 1A D-I Region 8 test on Friday, March 14. The Patriots come into the test with a record of 5-2. Oglethorpe County won 5-0 in their recent league test against Banks County (Homer, GA)

The Tigers now have a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Elbert County for a 1A D-I Region 8 test on Friday, March 14. Commerce will clash with a Blue Devils team coming off a 2-1 league win over Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy (Winder, GA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 5-2.
