In Friday's league game, the host Ashley Screaming Eagle baseball team scored a close 1-0 win over the West Brunswick Trojans.

The Screaming Eagle (6-0) will now prepare for their game against West Stokes (King, NC). The Wildcats go into the non-league game with a 6-0 record. In their last game, West Stokes nudged Oak Grove (Winston-Salem, NC), 4-2, in a non-league game.

Next, the Trojans play the Hoggard Vikings (Wilmington, NC) in a Mideastern 3A/4A game, on Tuesday, March 18. West Brunswick will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Vikings go into the game with a 3-5 record after their 4-2 league loss to North Brunswick (Leland, NC).
