The Topsail Pirates (Hampstead, NC) baseball trounced the visiting North Raleigh Christian Academy Knights (Raleigh, NC), 11-5 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

The Pirates now own a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Brunswick for a Mideastern 3A/4A challenge on Tuesday, March 18. Topsail will clash with a Scorpions team coming off a 4-2 league win over Hoggard (Wilmington, NC). The Scorpions record now stands at 4-3.

With the defeat, North Raleigh Christian Academy drops to 7-1 on the year. The Knights travel to Burlington Christian Academy (Burlington, NC) to clash with the Royals in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 18. The Royals go into the challenge with a record of 8-0. Burlington Christian Academy won 12-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Statesville Christian (Statesville, NC)
