East Lincoln Mustangs (Denver, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Stuart W. Cramer Storm (Belmont, NC), 7-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 5-0 record. They take the field next when they host West Iredell for a Western Foothills 3A challenge on Friday, March 18. East Lincoln will battle a Warriors squad coming off a 10-0 league loss to Foard (Newton, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 0-4.

With the loss, Stuart W. Cramer falls to 4-1 on the campaign. The Storm host Crest (Shelby, NC) to battle the Chargers in a Big South 3A challenge on Monday, March 21. The Chargers enter the challenge with a record of 5-1. Crest lost 1-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Chase (Forest City, NC)
