The North Surry Greyhounds (Mount Airy, NC) baseball nipped the host West Stokes Wildcats (King, NC), 8-7 in Saturday's non-league contest.
Coming up next, the Greyhounds play the East Surry Cardinals (Pilot Mountain, NC) in a Foothills 2A contest, on Tuesday, March 21. North Surry will attempt to better on its 5-2 season record. The Cardinals enter the contest with a 6-2 record after their 9-8 non-league win over Chatham Central (Bear Creek, NC).
The Wildcats (4-4) will now prepare for their game against Christiansburg (Christiansburg, VA). The Blue Demons go into the non-league game with a 1-0 record. In their last game, Christiansburg tipped Radford (Radford, VA), 15-3, in a non-league game.
