The Poplarville Hornets baseball team scored 14 runs and limited the host McComb Tigers to 0 in the Hornets non-league victory on Saturday.
The Hornets (12-3) will now prepare for their match against Lawrence County (Monticello, MS). The Cougars go into the 4A Region 7 match with a 7-6 record. In their last match, Lawrence County was overwhelmed by Purvis (Purvis, MS), 20-1, in a league match.
The Tigers (2-5) will now prepare for their match against Wesson (Wesson, MS). The Cobras go into the non-league match with a 8-5 record.
