The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Coppell Cowboys (Coppell, TX) and the host Prairiland Patriots (Pattonville, TX), saw Coppell's softball squad nip Prairiland by a count of 3-0.

The Cowboys now sport a 10-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Plano West for a 6A Region I District 6 match on Tuesday, March 5.

With the loss, Prairiland falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Lone Oak (Lone Oak, TX) to face the Buffaloes in a 3A Region II District 12 match on Tuesday, March 5. The Buffaloes enter the match with a record of 8-7. Lone Oak won 9-0 in their recent non-league match against Lindsay (Lindsay, TX)
