In Wednesday's non-league battle, the visiting Carterville Lions soccer squad scored a close 1-0 triumph over the Sikeston Bulldogs.
The Lions (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Anna-Jonesboro/Cobden (Anna, IL). The Wildcats come into the Southern Illinois River-to-River - Mississippi battle with a 2-2 record.
The Bulldogs (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Kelly (Benton, MO). The Hawks come into the non-league battle with a 1-1 record.
