North Carolina High School Softball - Madison bounces Smoky Mountain

The Madison Patriots routed the visiting Smoky Mountain Mustangs softball squad by a final score of 20-4 in Thursday's non-league battle.

The Patriots (6-3) will now prepare for their battle against Draughn (Valdese, NC). The Wildcats go into the Western Highlands 1A/2A battle with a 7-1 record. In their last battle, Draughn topped East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC), 8-7, in a non-league battle.

The Mustangs now possess a 1-8 record. They play next when they host Franklin for a Mountain Seven 3A battle on Tuesday, March 28.
