North Carolina High School Softball - Polk County holds off Hendersonville

The Polk County Wolverines the visiting Hendersonville Bearcats softball squad by a count of 12-10 in Friday's league battle.

The Wolverines (5-5) will now prepare for their battle against Patton (Morganton, NC). The Panthers go into the Mountain Foothills Seven 2A battle with a 4-4 record. In their last battle, Patton nudged Watauga (Boone, NC), 13-3, in a non-league battle.

The Bearcats now sport a 3-4 record. They play next when they travel to R-S Central for a Mountain Foothills Seven 2A battle on Tuesday, March 28. Hendersonville will meet a Hilltoppers squad coming off a 5-4 league win over Brevard (Brevard, NC). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 7-2.
