In Friday's league game, the visiting Maiden Blue Devils baseball team scored a tight 13-9 victory over the Lincolnton Wolves.
The Blue Devils (4-6) will now prepare for their game against Newton-Conover (Newton, NC). The Red Devils go into the Catawba Valley Athletic 2A game with a 3-6 record. In their last game, Newton-Conover was overwhelmed by Bunker Hill (Claremont, NC), 4-3, in a league game.
The Wolves (5-5) will now prepare for their game against West Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC). The Rebels go into the Catawba Valley Athletic 2A game with a 5-5 record. In their last game, West Lincoln tipped East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC), 14-5, in a league game.
