Hernando Tigers (Hernando, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Neshoba Central Rockets (Philadelphia, MS), 4-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 12-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Germantown for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 25. Hernando will battle a Mavericks squad coming off a 14-4 non-league loss to Brandon (Brandon, MS). The Mavericks record now stands at 11-5.

With the loss, Neshoba Central falls to 8-2 on the campaign. The Rockets travel to Kosciusko (Kosciusko, MS) to battle the Whippets in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 28. The Whippets enter the challenge with a record of 13-2. Kosciusko won 9-3 in their recent league challenge against Lake (Lake, MS)
