In Saturday's non-league game, the host Copper Basin Cougars baseball team scored a nice 24-9 victory over the Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences Patriots.

The Cougars (1-4) will now prepare for their game against Hiwassee Dam (Murphy, NC). The Eagles go into the non-league game with a 1-5 record. In their last game, Hiwassee Dam was overwhelmed by Swain County (Bryson City, NC), 4-1, in a league game.

The Patriots (1-6) will now prepare for their game against Polk County (Benton, TN). The Wildcats go into the 2A District 4 game with a 3-3 record. In their last game, Polk County was overwhelmed by Sequoyah (Madisonville, TN), 8-6, in a non-league game.
