Illinois High School Baseball - Amboy holds off Hinckley-Big Rock

In Wednesday's non-league game, the visiting Amboy Clippers baseball team scored a close 8-4 victory over the Hinckley-Big Rock Royals.

The Clippers (4-1) will now prepare for their game against Mercer County (Aledo, IL). The Golden Eagles enter the non-league game with a 3-2 record. In their last game, Mercer County was overwhelmed by Illini West (Carthage, IL), 4-3, in a non-league game.

Next, the Royals face the Oregon Hawks (Oregon, IL) in a non-league game, on Thursday, March 27. Hinckley-Big Rock will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Hawks enter the game with a 1-2 record after their 12-7 non-league win over Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] (Woodhull, IL).
