Triad Knights (Troy, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Breese Central Cougars (Breese, IL), 10-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Knights now own a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Gillespie for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 30. Triad will battle a Miners squad coming off a 11-1 non-league win over Metro-East Lutheran (Edwardsville, IL). The Miners record now stands at 6-1.

With the loss, Breese Central falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Cougars host Salem (Salem, IL) to battle the Wildcats in a Cahokia - Mississippi challenge on Tuesday, March 29. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 3-1. Salem won 17-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Wesclin (Trenton, IL)
