Pine Prairie Panthers (Pine Prairie, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Marksville Tigers (Marksville, LA), 4-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 18-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Northwest for a 3A District 5 challenge on Thursday, March 30.

With the loss, Marksville falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Tigers host St. Martinville (St. Martinville, LA) to battle the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 31. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 6-11. St. Martinville lost 13-3 in their recent non-league challenge against St. Louis Catholic (Lake Charles, LA)
