The Hughes Springs Mustangs softball team scored 3 runs and limited the visiting Mabank Panthers to 2 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Hughes Springs improves its record to 10-1 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Whitehouse (Whitehouse, TX) to clash with the Wildcats in a 5A Region II District 16 game on Thursday, March 3. The Wildcats come into the game with a record of 5-4.

In their next game, the Panthers clash with the Tyler Legacy Raiders (Tyler, TX) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, March 3. Mabank will attempt to better on its 4-1 season record. The Raiders go into the battle with a 9-0 record after their 6-1 non-league win over Highland Park (Dallas, TX).
