In Saturday's non-league match, the host Basehor-Linwood Bobcats basketball team scored a tight 67-63 triumph over the Sumner Academy Sabres.
In their next game, the Bobcats face the Highland Park Scots (Topeka, KS) in a non-league match, on Thursday, March 9. Basehor-Linwood will attempt to move on its 8-13 season record. The Scots enter the match with a 22-0 record after their 80-52 non-league win over St. James Academy (Lenexa, KS).
With the defeat, Sumner Academy moves to 11-10 on the year.
