The New Braunfels Unicorns baseball team scored 6 runs and held the visiting Cinco Ranch Cougars to 2 in the Unicorns non-league win on Saturday.

The Unicorns now hold a 10-1 record. They take the field next when they host Wagner for a 5A Region IV District 26 test on Tuesday, March 11. New Braunfels will play a Thunderbirds team coming off a 8-2 non-league loss to Alice (Alice, TX). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 2-9.

With the defeat, Cinco Ranch drops to 8-7 on the year. The Cougars travel to Katy (Katy, TX) to play the Tigers in a 6A Region III District 19 test on Tuesday, March 11. The Tigers go into the test with a record of 12-4. Katy won 7-0 in their recent non-league test against Langham Creek (Houston, TX)
