The Sacred Heart Trojans the host St. Edmund Fighting Blue Jays softball squad by a count of 5-2 in Tuesday's league challenge.
Next, the Trojans meet the Catholic of Pointe Coupee Hornets (New Roads, LA) in a 1A District 6 challenge, on Thursday, April 3. Sacred Heart will attempt to upgrade on its 15-8 season record. The Hornets enter the challenge with a 18-7 record after their 8-3 non-league loss to Live Oak (Watson, LA).
The Fighting Blue Jays (5-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Opelousas Catholic (Opelousas, LA). The Vikings enter the 1A District 6 challenge with a 12-9 record. In their last challenge, Opelousas Catholic edged David Thibodaux (Lafayette, LA), 14-2, in a non-league challenge.
