Illinois High School Baseball - Hoopeston defeats Salt Fork

The Hoopeston Cornjerkers (Hoopeston, IL) baseball trounced the visiting Salt Fork Storm (Sidell, IL), 8-2 in Monday's league contest.

Coming up next, the Cornjerkers play the Prairie Central Hawks (Fairbury, IL) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, April 12. Hoopeston will attempt to better on its 5-7 season record. The Hawks enter the contest with a 1-7 record after their 11-3 league loss to Bloomington Central Catholic (Bloomington, IL).

The Storm now sport a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they host Tolono Unity for a non-league contest on Tuesday, April 12. Salt Fork will play a Rockets squad coming off a 11-1 league win over Paxton-Buckley-Loda (Paxton, IL). The Rockets record now stands at 12-2.
